The 2025/2026 PJHL season is off and running, and the Chilliwack Jets are taking flight already.
The Jets are off to a solid start this season, with a 6-4 record through the months of September and October, which places them in 3rd place in the Tom Shaw Conference. The squad have some very notable matchups remaining in the month of October, as they battle against the defending Stonehouse Cup Champions, the Ridge Meadows Flames, for the first time this season on October 17th. They also have a fresh matchup with the Coastal Tsunami on October 19th, for our Pink in the Rink game at the Hangar. Remaining after that to close off October are the Langley Trappers, Delta Ice Hawks, and Richmond Sockeyes.
Here are some key takeaways from the 2025/2026 season so far:
UKRAINIAN STARS SHINING BRIGHT:
The Ukrainian trio of Nikita Kulikov, Mark Myronov, and Danyil Denysenko have lead the way offensively so far for the Jets this season. Kulikov currently leads the team, and 2nd in the PJHL with 20 points through 10 games so far, 14 of which are assists, which also leads the team. Myronov is not too far behind Kulikov in the assist department with 12 on the season so far, and Denysenko has the team lead with goals with 7.
GOALTENDING DUO HELPING LEAD THE WAY:
The goaltending tandem of Derek Sparks and Cassius Ford is proving to be a valauble asset to the Jets organization. with both goalies sporting save percentages over .900%, and Goals against averages below 4. Sparks, the 20 year old from Grande Prairie, Alberta has played an integral role in the Jets achieving 5 wins on the season. 17 year old Cassius Ford did not waste anytime notching his first PJHL win and PJHL shutout, coming against the Burnaby Steelers on October 5th.
STRONG ROOKIES PROVIDING OFFENSIVE SUPPORT:
The Jets have offense flowing throughout their lineup, notably from some fresh faces. Abbotsford native Alexandre Jacques has not hesitated to make his mark on the club, with an impressive 7 points through 6 games to lead all rookies on the team in scoring. 18 year olds Kolton Eady and Ayden Pimm have also had no issue getting settled in their first season in the PJHL, with Eady putting up 6 points in 7 games, and Pimm having 6 points through 10 games.
