Melnyk: Return of the Jet

The Chilliwack Jets announced today that the club has re-acquired Goaltender, Brayden Melnyk from the Victoria Cougars in exchange for Forward, Nolan Baldwin

Melnyk started the 22/23 season for the Campbell River Storm posting 3 wins and 4 losses in 7 games, for a GAA of 2.16 and SV% of .928. Brayden was then traded to the Victoria Cougars playing in only 3 games but with 3 wins, a GAA of 2.33 and a SV% of .897. Melnyk played for the Jets last season posting 11 wins and 6 losses in 17 games and 4 playoff appearances while tallying a 2.95 GAA and SV% of .916.

Baldwin was another new face for the Chilliwack Jets this season and tallied 10 goals and 8 assists through 21 games played so far this season along with 61 PIM’s. We thank and wish Nolan all the best with the Cougars and his future hockey endeavours.
