On behalf of the Chilliwack Jets, we would like to announce in partnership with the WHL and Kelowna Rockets, that Abbotsford-born, BC defenseman, Lachlan Staniforth, has been reassigned to play for the Chilliwack Jets for the 2024/25 PJHL Junior ‘A’ Hockey Season. He is eligible as an “Affiliate Player” with Kelowna this season and can be called up anytime.
Staniforth is a 6-foot, 185-pound, skilled, offensive and smart defenseman. He was drafted in the 2022 WHL Draft by the Kelowna Rockets in the 6th round at 122nd overall. Lachlan played for the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U18 Prep Team last season. Lachlan was then called up at the end of the season with Kelowna and appeared in 1 regular season game and 1 playoff game with the Rockets. Staniforth scored 1 goal and 14 assists, with 44 PIM’s through 36 games played last season with the Thunderbirds. He also appeared in 4 playoff games last season tallying 3 assists and had 2 PIM’s. Staniforth has developed under the BCEHL FV Thunderbirds program for the last 3 seasons.
