The Chilliwack Jets announced today that the club has acquired 2003-born, BC Native, Elite Goaltender Liam Vanderkooi and 2005-born Forward, Dylan Schrader from the Dryden Ice Dogs in exchange for a PDF and Future Considerations.
Liam has 4 years of high-level Junior A experience (Salmon Arm, Powell River, Swan Valley, Dryden). Vanderkooi has played in 59 games in total over 4 years tallying a 4.28 GAA and a .874% carrying a 26-18-7 record. Prior to his junior A experience he played for the BCEHL Fraser Valley Thunderbirds and Yale Hockey Academy Programs.
Dylan has played in Dryden (SIJHL) for 14 games this season tallying 4 assists and 2 PIM’s and prior to Dryden, Scrader started the 2023/24 season with the Neepawa Titans (MJHL) playing in 5 games tallying 1 goal and 2 assists. Prior to this season Schrader came from the Brandon Wheat Kings Development U18 AAA Program and had 12 goals, 5 assist and 62 PIM’s thru 44 games.
